Graphite on series 500 bristol board vellum finish.
Derwent Pencils HB, B, 9B
30 hours aprox.

I'm experimenting with different papers. This one is VERY rough. Not sure if I like the look, I don't feel like I have as much contol with this paper and smooth shading is hard to achive.

I took the reference photo after I smashed one of my watches with a hammer, It was much more interesting in pieces. I doubt I will be using this paper again, need to find a smoother one.

Thanks, I have not tried the other side. I was afraid the texture would be inconsistent. I'll have to check it out!

You know, despite your feelings on the rough paper, I think it really works. While the details aren't as crisp as I'm sure you wanted, the blurred details give a nice antique feel. Kinda like an old photograph, I like it!
